CONFIRMED: The purchases, repurchases and financing figures come from Strategy’s November 2 SEC disclosure.

Strategy bought more Bitcoin. It also spent substantially more buying back a preferred security. The November 2 SEC disclosure reports 811 BTC purchased for $65.5 million between October 26 and November 1, alongside $208.2 million spent repurchasing STRC preferred shares. The Crypto Times separately covered both transactions. Ignoring the second one gives readers only half the capital-allocation story.

The purchase lifted reported holdings to 849,327 BTC as of November 1. The company disclosed an aggregate acquisition cost of $64.08 billion and an average cost of $75,451 per coin, including fees and expenses. Those figures are historical cost measures. They are not a guarantee of support at that price and not an assessment of what the portfolio will be worth next week.

Same week, different funding

Strategy said MSTR common-stock sales generated $164 million in net proceeds during the period. It allocated $65.5 million to the Bitcoin purchase and $98.5 million to USD Cash. The separate STRC repurchases used USD Cash. No sales under the four preferred-stock ATM programs were reported for the period. Conflating these flows makes the financing sound simpler than it was.

There is a second distinction in the cash balances. The company reported a $4.79 billion USD Reserve intended to support preferred dividends and debt interest, plus $132.7 million of separate USD Cash for broader treasury purposes. Combining the two into a single unrestricted Bitcoin-shopping budget would erase management’s own categories and overstate what the filing actually says.

The familiar whisper is that every financing move at Strategy is just another route to more Bitcoin. Sometimes that is the direct outcome. This filing also shows liability and capital management taking a large share of the money. Investors should ask how new issuance, buybacks and payment obligations fit together before treating the coin count as the only relevant metric. The Bitcoin purchase is confirmed. So is the larger STRC repurchase. A decent news headline should leave room for both.
